Situated on the outskirts of the city and easily accessible by foot or by car, The Watershed is at the heart of daily life for the people of Kilkenny. Everyone can use the facilities at The Watershed be they a member or a ‘Pay As You Go’ customer. Opening in December 2008 as a much needed facility for the local community, its customer base has steadily grown in numbers and it is the venue of choice for local residents, schools, businesses and clubs. Whether you are training for leisure or fun or are a serious athlete, participating in a local or national event, shopping for swimwear, celebrating a birthday, accompanying your children to swim lessons and children’s camps or simply relaxing in our coffee dock, there is something for everyone.

Designed with all users in mind, we provide accessibility for users of all abilities and have hoists at poolside and designated parking spaces.

We provide a considerable range of fitness classes, sporting activities and equipment, swim lessons, physical education and health and fitness programs and much more and are a valuable and affordable resource for the local community and beyond.
